Forum: feature_films Subject: Re: DVD Derived Content

Your claim that all content that exists on Archive.org in violation of a DVD publisher’s copyright because it is derived from DVD rips is false and indicates a most limited amount of information and knowledge. At best I would need to see if you have any data on the number of uploads here and the contents of each in relation to its source. A statement such as yours indicates a great deal.
In my own case the content I have placed on the Archive.org is either from the original film which have been stored for over fifty years or from amateur made recordings which are played on equipment I have restored myself and which can no longer be be purchased new. This content is unavailable in any modern commercial format as I own the original. I've invested hundred of hours in this hobby and made the materials available here and in other sites for free. I've done the work. You do not seem to want to make that sort of time commitment. In fact it seems you want to cut and paste someone else's work, mash it together and say you "created" something. I suggest you send them a check.
So I say "Feh!" to your statement. You may be a sock puppet. (I enjoy using that word.) You are definitely in need of introspection and should find useful volunteer work somewhere.
